The Washington D.C. chapter WiNN is an active group of women who seek to network, learn from each other, and build relationships that will enhance their work to protect nature and manage natural resources. The group is currently coordinated and led by founding WiNN members who work at the World Bank Group, Conservation International, and the Smithsonian Institution. We welcome all women in the D.C. area to join us for activities and to organize additional events.

  • January 2017: Women Networks to Drive Social Change in Wildlife Conservation, Business and Health. Hosted by the World Bank's Africa Environment and Natural Resources GP in collaboration with the Global Wildlife Program
  • March 2017: Luncheon to celebrate International Women’s Day
  • May & December 2017, August 2018: Networking Happy Hour
  • October 3, 2018: Conversation with WINN founding member Renee Gonzalez about her career path and work with the Fondo Mexicano - the largest environmental trust fund in Latin America
  • November 15, 2018: Seminar and discussion: Using sound science to inform conservation action, hosted by the Smithsonian Institution.
