WASHINGTON D.C.

Founded in 2013 by Dr. Leeanne Alonso, the Women in Nature Network DC chapter remains a vibrant hub for women conservationists in the nation's capital. With Dr. Alonso's ongoing support, WiNN DC builds meaningful community among professionals working across the region's many international conservation organizations.

Our members gather regularly for hikes, dinners, and informal get-togethers—creating spaces to share experiences, build professional networks, and offer mutual support. We also welcome visiting WiNNers and women in nature passing through the area, connecting them with our local community in a warm, inclusive environment.

Interested in joining? We'd love to meet you. Whether you're new to conservation, established in the field, or simply passionate about nature and connection, there's a place for you in WiNN DC and the broader WiNN global community.
